Interview with Norwegian metal elite Tore Bratseth (Old Funeral/ Bombers/The Batallion/Studfaust)

Before we we begin we i personally feel honored to interview Norwegian Metal elite Tore Bratseth. To mention he is the founding member of the legendary band Old funeral ,and non other than the Motorhead tribute band the Bömbers - The ultimate Motörhead tribute. Our interview revolves around his journey in metal music and  Bömbers - The ultimate Motörhead tribute. To mention recently Tore was featured recently by Sodom in Sweden Rock Fest.
Here is the video.

"
It's been a long journey. I started playing in a band in May 1988 with Old Funeral, so it's almost 26 years in the music scene. In that time I have got to travel the world, seen a lot of great concerts and festivals, played some music, recorded some albums and singles, and met many of my heroes like members from Motorhead, Twisted Sister, AC/DC , Sex Pistols, Wasp, Kiss, etc. I have worked as a road crew for Immortal, i have done music journalism and radio programmes. Made a lot of friends during that time that I really appreciate. Hopefully I will be able to stay around for another 26 years."
                                                        ToreBratseth.
(Norwegian Metal elite. Old Funeral/Bombers/ immortal's road crew).

Without any delay here we go with Tore's interview.

Greetings Tore, it’s an honor that we are getting an opportunity to conduct this interview with you. Tell us how are things going back in Norway?
Thanks man! Things are busy but great here in Norway. I just confirmed a gig booking with Bombers in Reykjavik, Iceland really looking forward for the gig. Iceland is a fascinating country!

From mid 80’s until now how has your journey been?
It's been a long journey. I started playing in a band in May 1988 with Old Funeral, so it's almost 26 years in the music scene. In that time I have got to travel the world, seen a lot of great concerts and festivals, played some music, recorded some albums and singles, and met many of my heroes like members from Motörhead, Twisted Sister, AC/DC , Sex Pistols, Wasp, Kiss, etc. I have worked as a road crew for Immortal, i have done music journalism and radio programmes. Made a lot of friends during that time which  I really appreciate. Hopefully I will be able to stay around for another 26 years, alright! It's a passion you don't grow out of!

As far as i have found from my research apart from Old Funeral and Bombers you are part of bands like Amok, Desekrator, The Batallion, Studfaust, OLD FUNERAL. As far as I know Amok is a grindcore band and has released 2 demos, 1 single, 3 split and a full length Necrospiritual Deathcore in 2006 and you did session guitars/vocals on it. The band has not released anything after 2006 can you let us know about the bands current status. And if I am not wrong the band had also been featured in a compilation album “BESTIAL NECROMANACY vol. 1” released by BLACK VOMIT RECORDS.
That band was started by Radek Nemec who also played in Taake, Aeternus amongs others. As a band it does not exist anymore I think.

For Desekrator’s 1998 full length album Metal For Demons you served the duty on vocals and bass. As far as I know this band was a Thrash Metal band and the band splited in the early 2000. While doing my research I didn't found much about this band can you tell us about it and your journey with the band?
Ha ha ! Desekrator was a fun project band that consisted of almost every metal musician in Bergen. I think around 13-14 people were involved in the recoding process. I played guitar and vocals on some songs, bass on one song and even drums on 1 song ! We released 3 vinyl singles and 1 full length album “Metal for Demons" through the Dutch label Hammerheart Records in 1998. We never did any shows. It was only a studio project. It was produced by Pytten, the famous metal producer in Grieghallen. I think the album sold around 3000 copies and 1500 vinyl singles.

I guess I don’t have to talk about Old Funeral I just want to ask how was the 4 years journey (1988-1992) of the band. Man the band was active for 4 years and trust me it is also considered one of the killer Death metal band of all time. Featuring guys like Padde (ex immortal) (1988-1992) on drums, Jorn from Hades, Olve “Abbath”, Harald from Immortals and non other then Kristian Vikernes from Burzum (ex-Mayhem). I think it was a killer experience and trust me Devoured carcass (E.P) is one of the best release that I have ever heard. If you ask me I urge you guys to start it over again.
Thanks for that man ! Yes, we were one of the pioneering metal bands from Norway. Abbath and I were only 15 years old when we started it. Padden, the drummer was 18. We started out rehearsing in my parent’s cellar in May 1988 and lasted until October 1992. The band had some members that became known as Varg Vikernes from Burzum , Abbath from Immortal and even Demonaz was in the band for 3-4 months playing guitar. We recorded 2 demos, 1 vinyl 3 track EP with Thrash Records from France. Later we released the live album “Grim reaping Norway" and the picture disc " Join The Funeral Procession" . Later also Hammerheart Records released the compilation "The Older Ones" in 1999. Last year I compiled all our material and released the double album compilation “Our Condoances" through Soulseller Records. In our time we played around 25 shows.

I think you are being a bit bored so let’s go beyond the band for some time. As I have known you, you are a die hard fan of MOTORHEAD tell us how your journey in metal and rock and roll begin. And I am expecting you to tell us how you and your childhood friend Abbath decided to start BOMBERS.
Yes. I got into music at a really early age. My father is an oldschool rocker who has a large record collection starting back from the late 60's. I discovered Motörhead, Black Sabbath , Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin etc through the mothers milk. I had already heard Motörhead when I was 6 years old in 1979. I remember the " Bomber" album from when my father played it. I got to know Abbath in the summer of 1982. He was then already a Kiss fan. You can see a lot of Gene Simmons movements in his Immortal stage persona. Through the years we have had music as our main passion. Motörhead has been close to our hearts for a long time. So in 1996 we started Bömbers with our other friend Pez, who had played drums in punk bands since 1981. And we are still playing together almost 19 years later! All right!

Besides Music what are you engaged in for your livelihood?
I have what you call a normal day job as well. I am a web advisor of sorts. In my free time (which is almost non excistant ) I love to travel and collect rare vinyl records and go to see other bands.

Coming to the Norwegian Scene we all know that it has one of the most healthy metal scene especially black metal. Tell us in much elaborated way about the scene back there.
There are indeed a lot of active bands in Norway. In Oslo there are gigs almost every day of the week. The metal scene is alive and well, but I prefer the older bands to be honest. It's probably because I am old myself! ha ha ! The problem of the young scene is that no bands are making any money anymore. Almost everybody is forced to have a job besides the band to finance the rehearsal place, instruments, studio bills etc. Still , you can't stop rock n roll ! As long as there is spirit and love for music the scene will be active

Coming back to your bands, currently you are active in 4 bands i.e Almost Funeral, Studfaust, The Batallion and the Bombers. Can you tell us about the first 3 bands In brief? We will talk about BOMBERS in the next question.
Almost Funeral was not really a band and it certainly does not exist anymore. We only released 1 demo in 1989 ! Studfaust is a band I have with Faust (from Emperor, Blood Tsunami, Mongo Ninja) and Pete Evil (from Blood Tsunami, Mongo Ninja) . We have released 1 7" vinyl single in 2012 and we just released an album called "Where The Underdogs Bark " on Soulseller Records. It's really good record if you like Motörhead, Sodom, Venom and that kind of stuff. The Batallion has released 1 EP and 2 full lenght albums. We are currently looking for a drummer as Mr Morden just quit.

Bombers the ultimate Motörhead tribute how did the concept of starting the band came. I found out that you Pez and Olve “Abbath” are childhood friends share the same love towards the band. Tell us how have the journey been from 1996.
Man , it all started with the love for Motorhead's music and attitude towards life in general. We though it'd be fun to pay tribute to our favourite band in between our other bands. You know rock n roll just for rock n roll's sake!  Since the beginning we have probably played around 150 shows with Bombers. We have played countries like, Holland, Germany, France , Italy, Malta ( !!), Poland etc. We don't think of stopping just yet! It's great fun and there is no management or record company who pressure us.  I do all the bookings myself. I think, We have become a pretty good tribute band through the years.

If I am not wrong you guys have been witnessed by Motörhead tell us how you guys felt playing infront of your idols?
Yes, that was in 1997 after Motörhead played a gig themselves in Bergen. We made an after show party for them . It was really nerve wrecking to know that Lemmy was standing right in Front of us. The members of Motörhead also have our 2 vinyl singles that we released. Lemmy also made an intro for us to use before concerts. We are really honored that he did that! He is such a gentleman and also a great inspiration as a decent human being! The best there is!

So Bombers will be playing in Blastfest headlined by SATYRICON in February how is the prep going for it. Any updates before BLASTFEST?
There are only the usual rehearsals as in front of any show. It's at Garage which is a venue we have played probably 30 times, so it's an easy gig ! But we are looking forward to that. A lot of people come from all over the world.

So, we are almost at the end now. You are one of the elite musicians from Europe and I am pretty much sure that in your journey you have seen a way lot of ups and down so any suggestions to the bands and musicians from Nepal and other part of the world. Your suggestions shall be fruitful to them.
The best tip I could give is to NEVER GIVE UP. Never deviate and keep the spirit alive. Don't let downtrips make you loose yourself. But most important of all : Be true to yourself .

Wrapping up with the interview any message to the fans Tore?
The only message I have to fans or any other people for that matter . Whatever you do , let your heart be your guide. Thanks for the interest, all right !!

Interview With Prashant from Ful'stop

"We don't play on the stage like a job or as a work, performing is our passion for everybody in our band. We don't take any pressure we just go out there on the stage, do our crazy things and enjoy the time given to us to be on the stage, at least something should be done at a particular concert to be remembered and talked about later after years and years and years and year’s."                  Prashant Sharma Dhakal (Frontman Ful'Stop)

We had a short talk with Prashant from Ful'Stop. They are one of the powerhouse of the Nepalese Underground Scene. A few weeks back we had Prashant regarding Ful'Stop and as well as regarding their upcoming  Debut Album which is hopefully to be released by the mid of 2015. You can hear there track from our last release that we had in September.
Here you go
Now proceeding with the interview.

Greetings Prashant, How are your days going these days?
Great man.

So, I heard that Fullstop is in studio tell us about your progression?
Yes we are in the studio, working for our debut album. Its been a long time since we have started it, I guess 5-6 months, we are including total of 7 or 8 songs for the album, tracks of 3 of them is ready for the vocals take, personal issues, lack of time, load shedding, that is why we are unable to complete it soon, hopefully within 3 months the album will be ready and out in the market for fans. Hell yeah.

Well pretty excited about the release. If i am not wrong Sandeep Tuladhar is producing the album?
He is an extra ordinary man with crazy guitar skills and many crazy ideas about arranging, recording every fucking thing, he is a GEM. He has supported us till now with his full efforts, all hail X-MANTRA (old school) Sandeep Tuladhar is our man for the job.

For sure he is. Alright Prashant proceeding ahead tell us how did the band Fullstop’s journey begin?
Well it was a school boy’s dream for me and the guitarist of the band Atit Risal, we are here together from class 4 till now, I used to be a groupie in the other band of guys called Amadeus, personal issues led the band to break up, Atit Risal the guitarist from the band convinced me to sing for the new band which wasn't named yet, Yes I did join him then we searched for a drummer we found Robortson Pradhan then Bishal used to play for the band as the bassist, we did 3 or 4 shows together Tribute to dimebag Darrell 1st, 7th icmc , after that Atit the guitarist went abroad for his studies, his legacy was continued by his brother Satish Risal, things changed Bishal the bassist left the band then we did an audition and found Sunny Pujari as our new bassist, we practiced a lot, a fucking lot, that is when we started, never looked back and keep on thrashing ahead, later at summer fest both of the guitarist played for Fullstop, 5 men are marching forward till then. Fullstop was formed in 2009 due to the efforts of our beloved uncle Binit Sharma and his house as the practise room of ours.

Hmm as far as i know you guys even won the best guitarist during the ICMC?
Ya Satish Risal was the best guitarist of the competition and we secured 2nd position among 35 bands of Nepal.

I was not in town during that phase of ICMC but got some good feedback about the band. I am a bit curious about the band name. How did you guys came with the name?
ICMC was a strange competition for us regarding with the line up that we played in both rounds, the prelims and the finals, the line up was to be made by picking up the draw, at the prelims we picked up the draw at first we got the 1st position and in the finals we didn't pick up the draw the last draw left would be us hahaha and yes again it was us playing in the first position once again, though we also wished to be the first on the competition as luck was only giving us the number one's haha .The second place was not bad we had some good time on ICMC. The band name fullstop was a random name, 3 of our band members were just sitting drinking and all and our drummer Robert got the name purnabiram at first we translated it into English and boom, after that we all agreed to the name fullstop.

I witnessed you guys for the 1st time in Summer Festival you guys gave a memorable slot.
Summerfest was fun, playing for a huge audience is always fun. We did what we do best at the stage, Every body from our band had a great time, the people were great, on stop headbang, mosh pit was a motivation for us to be as much as wild and play better. Kick to the monitor at the last song and the aftermath of that there were some issues and problems with the Sound system company, organizers and the whole concert but the problem was solved and the concert went great late. KUDOS to the summer fest organizers we hope for much more better concerts and events here in Kathmandu in the future.

Even after the clash both the band and the sound company solved the issue on the stage which is a good sign of professionalism. Trust me you guys delivered much than what i expected.
Like the old sayings, Sound System Company and bands are two sides of a coin haha, they need us we need them, and yes that is what we thought that time and that was the right thing to do what we did.

Prashant coming beyond Fullstop tell us how did your journey begin in metal music?
Well, I think its all Inspired by friends, the whole metal scene, wildness that is in the music attracted me towards this music. Everything is loud and crazy in metal, I used to listen to music of CCR, Doors, Bryan Adams, Queen, before but friends of mine encouraged me to listen to music such as system of a Down, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Megadeath, Slayer that is where it all began there was no looking back, and still i am struggling to continue my journey in metal music.

Coming back to Fullstop i appreciate the bands stage presence and I found a one key strong point of the band that is making the audience part of it. I think this is a core power of the band after the music.
We don't play on the stage like a job or as a work, performing is our passion for everybody in our band. We don't take any pressure we just go out there on the stage, do our crazy things and enjoy the time given to us to be on the stage, at least something should be done at a particular concert to be remembered and talked about later after years and years and years and year’s.

Sounds good. By the way you guys toured to some parts beyond Kathmandu share us your experience?
We are the first ever metal band to play live in Palpa, it was a great experience, the respect we get from the people, the people themselves, the organizers, everything was great, we were amazed by the number of the people who came just to see us live, and there was a huge crowd. Touring is always fun. We would love to do it more often. We have played at a hotel at Butwal, that was a great experience, fans and people are crazy about live music. People from outside the valley know how to rock n roll.

Well that’s for sure. Prashant tell us how do you feel about the current situation of our scene?
Finally it feels good to know that it’s growing. Well a little larger amount of people than before for gigs indoor or outdoor, International bands performing live in Nepal that is a great massive thing, lots of positive things to stick with metal and carry on, its good, the struggle is still intact.

That’s for sure today’s hardwork shall be a gateway for future. By the way Prashant any message to the fans?
Our fans are awesome you guys are definitely and rightfully the real rockstars. Keep supporting and always keep on guessing because there will always be surprises, many more crazy things and for the haters, its hard to form a band, practice hard play free gigs if necessary. We do it with our passion and full strength, if you like us it’s our honor that would be a very great things for us to have fans and people who love us ,we thank you anytime. For the people who don't like us, we don't give a fuck you can go and lick chimpanzee's sack. Keep supporting metal and let’s make metal a huge thing all over our country Nepal. Jay Metal Jay Fullstop.

Well we are at the end now. I hope the album is almost ready and personally i keen to grab the CD soon. So wrapping up with this question a space for you to ask if we SNRMB team has forgotten to ask or anything you want to say. Space all yours.
We are still working on our album, we would like to make it a perfect one and we are working hard to do so, you will get it very soon. Well there is nothing more to answer i guess haha and at the end, yes i would like to say that SNRMB is doing a great job, keep up with it, we would like to see it as a next big thing in metal, the junction point of metal, the blog of metal, the history of metal and everything about underground music, Cheers SNRMB deserves a huge round of applause, Cheers guys.

Thank you for your valuable time Prashant.
The pleasure is all mine, thank you very much.

Interview With Shaxul From Manzer

We Had a short talk with Shaxul from Manzer a thrash/black metal band from France. Without any delay here we go.

Greetings Shaxul how are you guys doing?
Infernal hails, mate! We're preparing for the Pictavian Invasion in India and Nepal, making sure that no survivors will be left alive!!!

Before go further we would like to know about the updates of the French underground scene?
There's not so much to say, the real underground scene is small here. Most French bands that are well-known abroad are pure trend. Let me recommend some valuable bands : KILLERS (gods), PERFECTÖ, GOATVERMIN, NUCLEAR ABOMINATION, THE BOTTLE DOOM LAZY BAND, TORTURE THRONE, THE LAST TOMB, SILVER MACHINE, DESILLUSION, SANCTUAIRE...
And on my label : HEXECUTOR, PERVERSIFIER, ACARUS SARCOPT, KLOOTZAK, VALUATIR, CHARNIER, ANGMAR, BREIZH OCCULT, QUINTESSENCE, ANKRISMAH, CARNYX, ANNTHENNATH, HYPOKRAS...

MANZER, tell us how the journey begin?
We started in 2008, with a strong will to play 80's Black Metal, influenced by Heavy Metal, Rock'n'Roll and Punk as well. We are a power-trio ready to make your ears bleed to death!

Recently you guys were supposed to play in Italy but you guys cancelled playing can you tell us why?
We didn't cancel, man! We had no other choice. 3 gigs were planned but one of them got cancelled because of extremely bad weather in the north of Italy. There has been some flooding in Milano where the first gig was supposed to take place, and the venue was filled with water, so the organizers had to cancel, obviously, as it became impossible to play there. We are very disappointed but nobody is responsible, except the fucking heavy rain and storm! Fortunately we could ravage Roma and Firenze.

So how is the preparation going for India and Nepal Pictavian tour? You guys are playing in Pokhara and Kathmandu. Tell us how you guys are feeling?
We prepared a crazy set-list for the Nepalese gigs, as we'll play around 1h30. We can't wait to meet Nepalese maniaks but also discover many things in your country, like culture and history! Before this, we'll play 4 shows in India, this should be awesome as well!

Shaxul apart from handling duty on Drums you even own a record label LEGION OF DEATH tell us about your Label as well along with that tell us how hard is it to run a record label?
Indeed, I've created LEGION OF DEATH Records in 2001. I release non-western bands only, on vinyl format. In 2009, I've created a parallel label called ARMEE DE LA MORT Records so I can also release CD's, focusing on French bands I want to support. The label became my full time job but it's really hard as you can guess, because I live in and for the underground, which doesn't pay well but it's all about the passion and philosophy around the Metal genre, I feel I'm very lucky.

Pictavian Bastards, Underage Witch, MANZER are some of my favorite track of MANZER.
Thanx for the kind words. "Pictavian Bastards" became a classic so to speak, it's from our demo tape. "Underage Witch" is a simple but catchy tune from our first full length album called "Light of the Wreckers". "Manzer" became our hymn, it's the closing track on the album, and easy to sing/scream along. Don't miss these songs live in Nepal, my friend!

Coming beyond MANZER Shaxul tell us how your journey in metal begin?
That was around 1989 when I've discovered the almighty IRON MAIDEN. I wanted to discover more and more Metal bands, classic ones of course but I quickly wanted to go deeper and since the early 90's, my life is in the underground.

Apart from MANZER what do you guys do apart from MANZER cause its pretty obvious that the band doesn’t pay enough for your livelihood bills.
You guessed it right again! Well, as I've said before, I'm very lucky as I run a label for a living. Fëarann is a bagpiper and can get money by playing live with professional music groups. Hylde is a freelance web/graphic designer. Those jobs don't pay well at all and we're seen as marginal by "normal" people in this society, but at least it allows us to find time to satisfy our needs for Metal and tour the world with MANZER. The band is extremely important to us, we make many sacrifices but it's totally worth it.

I am pretty sure you guys are aware of our Nepalese scene as Ugrakarma is under LOD records and I am quite sure Sunil has recommended you to hear some Nepalese bands.
UGRA KARMA is a godly band, all hails to the mountain grinders! I've discovered them when the demo got released. After a long silence, I got in touch with Sunil again some years ago and I am so proud that the band re-formed and is working on an exclusive 7"EP for LEGION OF DEATH Records! The recordings are ready by the way, there's still some work to do but we hope it will be released in early 2015. Up till now, I've discovered ARACHNIDS, ANTIM GRAHAN and 72 HRS, as I've distributed their CD's in my shop thanx to Sunil. Oh and I'm in touch with Saurab from BIDROHA, hail! We hope to discover more on your scene directly in Nepal.

So we are almost at the end now. Any message to the Nepalese fan who are waiting for MANZER’s brutal assault in Pokhara at 18th Dec and on 20th Dec here in Kathmandu?
We really count on you guys! Be there or regret it for the rest of your life!!! For the brave ones who will show up : your neck will be destroyed!!! For those interested, we'll have merch available, at low prices : CD's, T-shirts, patch, back patch, and buttons.

Lastly a space for you to ask us if we SNRMB team has forgotten to ask MANZER, Space all yours?
That's all fine for now, mate! For any forgotten question, we'll be very happy to talk with maniaks directly before and after our gigs. See you soon in the mighty land of the Himalayas!!!

Interview with Jakub Regulski from Poland Based Blackened Death Band Morthus

Its awesome feeling that we get to know much about the new bands from different part of the world and to be quite honest RAKTAPYAS compilation album has helped us to go beyond Nepal and get to know many bands who are not yet known. As per this seek we got a chance to talk with one young killer Blackened Death Metal band Morthus from Poland. We had a short talk with there drummer Jakub Regulski. So without any delay here we go. Do check out their E.P while going through their interview. Here is the link.
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtsBlnabHPk

Greetings Jakub. How are you guys doing back there in Poland?
Hey, actually it's great here, lot of gigs ahead for Morthus.

Tell us how the journey of Morthus begun?
It all began in July 2012. When we met for the 1st time, we were complete strangers to each other. Having similar taste and passion for music, we thought of jamming together and started covering bands like Sepultura or Exodus. As time passed by our guitarist did not show up for rehearsals and we had to replace him. Then I thought about Paweł, who was poorly equipped with a guitar and vocals (as we all were with our instruments, haha, we all practiced like nuts). Then the day came for the first concert in Warsaw we opened for the band Wolf Spider one of the well known band in the country. After the gig, we decided to change the guitarist (Rafal Szymanski). Cardinal spoke to us which none of us knew, until we met him at one of our rehearsal in Warsaw, and after some jamming sessions took him on a permanent basis.

So Jakub, coming to the band named MORTHUS, what does it mean?
We say that this is own name like Pepsi or lays, but Mortem is death so we connect it somehow. Haha.

Poland is renowned for its extreme scene globally, has there been any influence on you guys in starting a blackened death metal band?
Sure, I think the biggest kick for us were bands like Morbid Angel, Destroyer 666, Dissection and Behemoth.

Killer bands. So you guys are having a gig with RAGEHAMMER, THUNDERWAR and RAGING DEATH this December how is the rehearsal going on?
So far so good, we'll inform you about our upcoming mini-tour very soon.

For sure. Before we proceed we will like to know much about the E.P The Abyss that was recently launched.
Ok, so first of all, the Abyss is our first official recording. We released that to have a promotional material, because our first demo "Legacy of Astaroth" was recorded by us in garage conditions and it wasn't so "fresh" (as you could hear we changed our style a little bit). Tracks which this EP contains are our new tracks ones, so we decided to record them. We want to say that they define our style and we want to continue with it. The E.P starts with song called "Torment" which was a spontaneous idea. We entered the studio and we met our friends from Bestiality totally wasted after concert with them. We didn't have any idea for intro to this EP so we recorded our screams and added some sound of burning city. Nothing sophisticated, but we are glad of results. First track  "Beast from the Abyss" was composed by Paweł, who combined our riffs. I added my drums parts and we finalized it during rehearsal. I composed solo day before recording and last bass part was added day before. It is the first song in our current style. Next song "In the White Wolf's Kingdom" is a little bit different. We treat it as a kind of ballad because it's our only slow track. It is also composed by Paweł and I added only my drum parts. Personally, it is my favorite record in terms of drums and guitar solo. Moreover, it is our last song about winter, paganism, wolfs and stuff like that.

Recorded in Mandragora Studio mixed by Maciej Radecki the EP The Abysss is no doubt 12.44 minutes of brutality. Have been blasting this E.P multiple times since Slawomir and Mateusz  made me aware about Morthus. You guys are one of my favorite bands whom i stream frequently.
We're really glad to hear that, and I can say that LP won't disappoint you either.

Well excited about it. I heard that this winter you guys are hitting studio for full length. Tell us about it?
Actually we are going to enter Mandragora Studio at Sumner/Season 2015. We're still working on fresh material, as we are planning not to repeat any previous songs, maybe one or two but that's all. Complete fresh tracks.

Will be waiting for it, By the way Jakub you guys belong to the country which having an healthy extreme metal scene. Tell us how hard it is for young bands like Morthus back there in Poland.
Well, it is quite difficult, let me share it with you. These two years I and Emil had to ride for rehearsals with the car stuffed to the brim with all equipment, 25 and even sometimes 35 km for the rehearsals, cause until now we do not have a permanent place for it, you've probably seen on my social media page and as well as in our previous talks. We slowly finish up our first official rehearsal room in Warka, now Paweł and Cardinal have to travel, but it's easier to pack guitar amp and guitar than whole drum set. In terms of recording, it is not too good because we are very young and it is difficult to get even for a seasonal job that will cover the cost. I can complain about myself for hours, but we are not a bunch of pussies to cry. We just wrap our sleeves and work far enough forces. We haven’t earned even a penny on this band and we even don’t expect to.

Yeah that’s for sure NO PAIN NO GAIN. So Jakub coming beyond MORTHUS what do you guys do beside MORTHUS?
I'm studying sociology, Paweł renewable energy technology, Dominik is writing secondary school certificate, and Emil is high school student, as you see, We're pretty young, I'm 21 and the oldest , haha.

Its good to see that youngsters are taking there music seriously. So far i have worked with Thunderwar, and soon with Christhole trust me it’s awesome to hear and explore young talented bands emerging from different part of the world.
It’s really great to know that there are some people around the world who don't care only about metal stars from 80's. Some day in the near future young bands like us must take their place, someone has to continue this legacy.

I am very happy that Thunderwar has taken that step and soon i hope the same for MORTHUS.
Actually they're our friends, We play together in time to time basis. Infact Vit (THUNDERWAR’s Skinner) borrowed me his drum set and helped a lot with my studio session.

So Jakub coming beyond Morthus tell us how your journey in Metal music begun?
First rock bands I've ever started to really get into were AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin - and all that classic stuff, I was about 14 back then. Then came the time for something heavier - I've got into bands like Metallica, Pantera and the band that pushed me more into this music was Slayer, and I mean when I attended there concert. Before Big 4’s concert I was something like pre-Thrasher, but when I witnessed these guys (luckily with Jeff Hanneman) they just blowed my mind. I thought "wooow this is it!". And then I started to look for some more Thrash bands heavier and heavier. The othre big step in my taste was Morbid Angel. The two people who really pushed me to start playing drums were Dave Lombardo and George Kollias (almost peed my pants after meeting him). I was 18 then so as you see my journey with drums is quite short.

For sure i too played drums back in time and understand that crave to play. By the way Jakub any message from MORTHUS to the metal community?
Sure – Like George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher from Cannibal Corpse said –
Keep the fuckinng support to metal! And I request you all to listen to Morthus, haha.

Lastly a space for you to ask if we SNRMB team has forgotten to ask, feel free to ask?
Yeah, you could send me track links of bands from Nepal, I'm pretty curious about it.

For sure Jakub we will. Thank you for your precious time.
I thank you and greetings to the whole SNRMB NEPAL team, cheers! And yeah you guys must check them out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUF80b-cxzA - Bestiality - totally crazy and brutal stuff from our friends!
